EICR inspections for landlords and homeowners
In accordance with BS 7671 of the Building Regulations, EICR inspections to certify the condition of existing electrical installations must be carried out on all properties on a regular basis.
Landlords and property managers are strongly recommended, and in many instances legally required, to have an EICR inspection each time there is a change of occupancy of one of their premises.
Regular inspections ensure that all electrical equipment and cabling are safe and fit for purpose. It also provides peace of mind for tenants and can make letting your property easier by demonstrating that you are a responsible landlord. In the event of any future disputes they also provide documentary proof of the condition of electrical systems and equipment at the time tenants moved in.
As an NICEIC registered company Wimbledon Electrician is authorised to carry out all required investigations and tests, and to issue EICR certificates, upon completion of tests and any work needed for equipment and systems to meet regulation requirements.
